Today was a big day for Frankie as she handed in the final hard bound copy of her thesis! Frankie has spent the last 3 years looking at the role of chemokines in hypertension and making friends with all the local cats. We are now left wondering how many cat photos she has snuck in there as figures. 🤔My guess would be at least one per chapter. Luckily for the rest of us we don't have to say goodbye to Frankie just yet as she is going to be sticking around for a bit longer as

GENIE 2020
This week we attended the Glasgow Edinburgh Network for Immunology Excellence (GENIE) in Linlithgow. We had a great time and all the speakers were excellent, especially Gill who was there sharing the work she has recently been doing in the CRG. The event had lots of interesting immunology, covering everything from the innate immune system to the adaptive, with some really neat work from the Kubes and Konkel labs who had the keynote talks at the event. The day was nicely round
